Rainy Days of April [Through My Lens Nr. 90]

Just as I was about to relish in the beauty of early spring here in the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina, rain has returned to these corners of the world. I will say though, that I am very grateful for the rain when it comes to our garden. The grass, plants and fruits in the orchard have been growing nicely because of it. On the other hand, the rain does hinder me from going out. The north of the country is even supposed to get snow, which will be interesting if it really happens. The middle of April is filled with rain, sunny days long gone, but there is the promise of their return, so I'll look forward to that.

Thank you all for joining me in another week of "Through My Lens". I am looking forward to your submissions this week!

  8. Your spring is further ahead than ours! The grass is still brownish and the buds have yet to burst open with promises of sunny days.

  9. Not surprisingly your spring is well ahead of ours. Our grass has turned green, but we have yet to see any green leaves. I am sure the sun will return to you soon.

  15. Your rains produced deep vivid greens. Ours were more destructive this time, but left some interesting reflections in the flood waters.

  16. I love your mountain house, the color is so soothing to the eyes and very welcoming. That slant glass window at the right side, what is the purpose in making it slanted? I thought at first they are solar panels.

    1. This is not a mountain house, but our house in Mostar where we lice. The purpose of them being slanted has more to do with design then anything else. Though they also provide light for the basement down below.

  21. I do like rainy days and staying in with a good book or movie but too many off them and all I want to do is get back out again. The rain changes how things look and freshens everything. What a lovely outdoor area you have.
